Treating Facial Veins
Facial veins are typically found on the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Visible facial veins are most commonly seen in fair-skinned people and typically appear around age 40 or later, although it’s not uncommon for people in their 20’s and 30’s to have bothersome facial veins. On the face, visible veins can range from a thin line to larger clusters of veins.
Facial Veins are also known as:
- Broken Capillaries
- Telangiectasias
Causes of Facial Veins
Facial veins are mainly caused by the normal aging process. They can also be a problem for people with allergies who tend to blow their nose often, which creates friction on the skin. In addition, facial veins can be caused by excessive sun exposure, liver disease, steroid use, genetics, trauma, illness, and lifestyle.
